Abstract

Dear Readers of JEET,

We would like to welcome Dr. Sohum Sohoni of Arizona State University as a Co-Editor of JEET. He comes to us with a lot of experience in publishing and reviewing papers in engineering education research. He has a passion for improving quality of engineering education and for spreading the culture of engineering education research. He and his colleague, Prof. Scotty Craig, have coauthored a paper in this issue. This paper can provide a framework for spreading the culture of Department-Based Engineering Education Research (DBEER) in India. He has also started helping us improve the journal in many ways. Dr. Sohoni and Dr, Craig have recently launched an on-line course offered by IUCEE on "Publishing and Reviewing Papers in Engineering Education Research", which has become very popular. Dr, Sohoni will continue to offer this course on a regular basis.
