Abstract

The objective of this paper is to make aware of some aspects of AICTE, like, provisions in the AICTE Act, 1987, its functioning and importance in the qualitative and quantitative growth of technical and management education in India, etc. The N BA process of accreditation has been presented to a certain details. A few passing comments are made so as to enable this country to face the challenges of the new century. The paper, it is believed, can be of interest to all those concerned with technical education in India.
