Abstract

Abstract— Artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as a pivotal technology with the potential to revolutionize various sectors, including environmental sustainability. As the world faces unprecedented environmental challenges—ranging from climate change to resource depletion—AI offers innovative solutions that can significantly mitigate these issues. This paper delves into the transformative role of AI in fostering environmental sustainability through its application in diverse areas such as precision agriculture, smart energy management, water conservation, and urban traffic optimization. These AI-driven technologies not only enhance efficiency and productivity but also contribute to the reduction of resource consumption and the minimization of environmental impact. Through a detailed thematic analysis of various case studies, this paper highlights the multifaceted benefits of integrating AI into environmental sustainability initiatives.
