Born on 5th November 1938 at Baroda, Dr. S. P. Sukhatme got his B. Sc. (Engg.) Degree (1958) with First Class First, from Banaras Hindu University, Master of Science and Doctor of science (1964) from MIT USA. His field of specialisation is Heat transfer and Solar Energy.
