Abstract

In addition to academic qualification, one needs a qualification in education (e.g. B.Ed. or D.Ed.) in order to qualify for being a school teacher. However, no such qualification in engineering education is specified as a prerequisite qualification for becoming a teacher in engineering college and polytechnic. Academic qualification only is considered to be sufficient to become a teacher in engineering.
